The Old Ship, Richmond

Delft - a few last pictures

1. Why square? Because Delft chose it. 2. Why the little Panasonic micro 4/3rds with only a pancake lens? Because it is small, not in the least intimidating, and easy to carry. Battery life sucks of course, but that's what spares are for.  3. Why not all b&w - why are some in colour? I wish I had an answer - I wish I had one style of photography that says "Patrick Dodds took that picture". But I don't.  4. Why the obsession with photography? I don't know - you'll have to ask Photography herself - she chose me.

Today's offering from Delft

Some More from Delft (it is Open Monuments Weekend this weekend, hence the perhaps slightly unexpected nature of some of these)

Delft - first colour photographs this trip

A Short Meditation on the Beauty of the Accidental: Near-random Photos from a Train Approaching Delft

The strange leaning verticals in the first few pictures? A product of speed and an electronic shutter I think.
